SPECIAL EARLY OFFER
The following items, that are being offered on an early basis, are incredibly special. This is an opportunity for you to acquire them before we begin an extensive advertising campaign. We are offering two stained-glass panels from the Anshe Chesed Jewish Congregation Temple that once stood majestically on Cherry Street in Vicksburg, Mississippi.
The Congregation was one of the oldest in the state of Mississippi. The Jewish Community in Vicksburg worshiped together from the early 1800s in private homes. By about 1862 the community had grown and was officially chartered with the state as Congregation Anshe Chesed (People of Loving Kindness). The Congregation secured funds and land and on May 20, 1870, the Temple was officially dedicated. These awe-inspiring panels were part of that lovely, sacred place of worship.
The Congregation moved from downtown Vicksburg and constructed a new Temple in the 1960s. The Temple on Cherry Street was demolished. These two panels escaped destruction and have survived with very minor damage.
At this time, the panels are on display in our shop and customers who visit may leave an in-house offer. We reserve the right to refuse any offer. At noon Central Time on August 15, 2021 no further offers will be accepted. If the reserve has been met the high offer will be notified as soon as possible.
